NEW SECTION - Overheard

I've been inspired to find a home on my blog for snippets of conversation (I hate people who.... say 'snippets'.....) I capture when I'm out and about. The funny, the philosophical and the downright bizzare will find a home here.

My £5 Online Poker Challenge After dabbling with On-line Poker in the past I've decided to actually try and learn how to play poker properly. I've known the basics for years but have never attempted to understand the finer elements of the game...... until now! I've got myself a few Poker Mags, a couple of books from the library and a willingness to learn! I'm opting for what is called 'Sit and Go No Limits Texas Hold Em Poker'. Wow that's a mouthful ain't it! It basically means you just play the folks at your table, rather than entering into a big, long winded tournament....

It's not a problem...... First day back at work yesterday after a week off on holiday and I was faced with this classic. "We've got a problem......" "No you don't - you've got an opportunity looking for a solution." I stood up, grabbed him by the throat and screamed with all my might - "WHY..... WHY...... WHY.....????" I then killed him. Monday's eh?
